The Road to the Eye Institute

Before arriving at the Black Hills Regional Eye Institute, Dr. Cory Bergman honed his ophthalmology skills on the West Coast. Dr. Bergman completed a biology and theology degree at Whitworth University where he graduated summa cum laude.  Dr. Bergman discovered and fell in love with the Black Hills region while attending medical school at the University of Colorado. Dr. Bergman completed his residency at the prestigious Loma Linda University Eye Institute in Southern California.

Providing Quality Care to the Black Hills

Although Dr. Bergman treats a broad range of ophthalmic conditions, he specializes in eye surgeries including cataract surgery, Femtosecond Laser-Assisted Cataract Surgery (FLACS), Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Procedures (MIGs) and eyelid reconstructive surgeries. Dr. Bergman is also active in multiple international research studies at the Eye Institute. As a Black Hills Regional Eye Institute ocular surgeon, Dr. Bergman is committed to providing the region with world class eye care.

Away from the Office

In his free time, Dr. Bergman values spending time with his wife and their four young boys. They enjoy all things outdoors including skiing, rock climbing, mountain biking and fly fishing.
